BIOGRAPHY
Tony Washington is a resident of Pine Bluff and a member of New St. Hurricane Baptist Church.
He and his wife Mae Washington have one son Braylon. Tony enjoys playing golf, fishing, and
being with his family. Tony has made it his mission to make it as easy as possible for people
to pay their taxes and continue on with their daily lives. He's committed to serving the people
of Jefferson County.
He's a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a B.S. in Computer Science.
Before being elected Tax Collector, Tony served 8 years under Arkansas Attorney General Dustin
McDaniel as Senior Public Affairs Liaison from 2007 through 2015.
Tony is a member of the NAACP, UAPB Alumni Chapter, Prince Hall Masons of Arkansas, Omega Psi Phi
Fraternity, Inc. and the Optimist Club of Pine Bluff. Tony has a passion for serving our youth and
preparing them to be the leaders of tomorrow.
